Ian Hetherington (England, 1948). After obtaining a B.Sc. in Social Sciences and a post-graduate teacher's certificate, he worked for more than 20 years in the British public education service as a secondary schoolteacher, adviser and inspector. Now retired, he conducts Vipassana meditation courses and assists with publicity and volunteer support activities for Vipassana organizations in Europe.
Mr. Hetherington has been associated with a number of Vipassana projects, including as a co-organizer and contributor to international conferences in India and France and as an adviser to three films. He has also co-edited books for the Vipassana Research Institute, India including: Chronicles of Dhamma, Dharma - Its True Nature, and Vipassana Pagoda Souvenir 1997.
Realizing Change, his first book, has been published separately in India and the USA, and is being translated into German and French.
