PTS Pali version - Digha Nikaya
Vol - 1 : This volume contains the first division of the Digha Nikaya or long discourses of the Buddha. The suttas in this division, the Silakkhanda Vagga, concern morality. Thirteen suttas deal extensively with various types of morality, namely, Minor Morality, basic morality applicable to all, Middle Morality and Major Morality.
The suttas in this division are:

Vol - 2 : This volume contains the second division of the Digha Nikaya or long discourses of the Buddha the large division or Maha Vagga ten suttas of the most important suttas in the Tipitaka. They deal with historical, and biographical aspects as well as doctrinal aspects of the Buddhas teaching. The most famous sutta is the Mahaparinibbana Sutta which gives an account of the last days and the passing away of the Buddha and the distribution of his relics. The Mahapadana Sutta deals with brief accounts of the last seven Buddhas and the life story of Vipassi Buddha. Doctrinally important are the Mahanidana Sutta which explains the chain of cause and effect, and the Mahasatipatthana Sutta dealing with the four methods of mindfulness and practical aspects of meditation.

Vol - 3 : This volume contains the third division of the Digha Nikaya or long discourse of the Buddha. it is called the Pathika Vagga being named after the first discourse on Pathika, the naked ascetic.
This division is made up of eleven shorter discourses of a miscellaneous nature.The suttas in this division are:

VIPASSANA PRODUCTS

While the main emphasis in Vipassana meditation as taught by S.N. Goenka is on actual practice, this product may provide inspiration and guidance to a Vipassana meditator.
We also carry titles from the Theravada tradition, as we feel that by exploring the wider world of the Theravada texts, which include the Buddha’s discourses, commentaries, and scholarly articles and treatises, meditators have an opportunity to deepen their understanding of the Dhamma and thereby enrich their meditation practice. This kind of intellectual exploration also helps a meditator to gain an understanding of the evolution and historical context of their meditation tradition. This understanding in turn deepens their practice and understanding of the Dhamma.

Year after year, the costs of maintaining our own warehouse has far exceeded the income.
By focusing on what we do best (such as make Dhamma content available at low or no cost), and partnering with others who have already built robust printing, packing, and delivery systems, we free up resources that can be redirected towards expanding Pariyatti's offerings for you.
