Jenny Phillips (1942 - 2018) was a practicing psychotherapist who also worked in state and county prisons teaching emotional literacy skills. She first visited Donaldson prison in 1999 and through her initiative the Vipassana program was established there. She also produced and directed the award-winning documentary film, The Dhamma Brothers and authored the book Letters from the Dhamma Brothers: Meditation Behind Bars.
