Description

Drawing upon his own life experiences, the author tries to prove his conviction by showing how the Dhamma can be constructively applied in the many diverse activities of daily life. The 47 pages include chapters on A Life Plan; Relaxation; Observing the Five Precepts; Beware of Bias and Propaganda; A Happy Family Life; and Facing Death with Equanimity.

The author, Robert Bogoda, was born in Colombo, the business capital of Sri Lanka, in 1918. This book is his offering of a simple elucidation of how the application of basic Buddhist principles can result in a more fulfilling life for the householder:

"These guidelines will help to mould one's whole personality, to instill the true principles of The Dhamma into one's own understanding, to train the emotions and to discipline the will. Doing so will conduce to the ultimate best interest of oneself, and help one to make one's life a blessing for others as well.".
