He spent many years learning Pāli and Sanskrit at the Pāli High School in Phnom Penh, Cambodia.  He received novice ordination at the age of 13, and then Bhikkhu ordination from the age of 20-40.  He further pursued his higher studies at the Dhamma-duta College, Rangoon, Myanmar and the Chulalongkon Buddhist University in Bangkok, Thailand.  Since 2005 until present, he and his wife, have been students of Vipassana meditation under the instruction of Mr. S.N.
